Pray for Singapore

Pray for Singapore

A Call to Intercede for Revival in the Lion City

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” — Psalm 122:6

Singapore is a small nation with a remarkable influence in Asia and around the world. Known for its economic strength, technological development, international connections, and cultural diversity, Singapore occupies a strategic place in Southeast Asia.

But beyond its economic and global significance, Singapore needs something that cannot be achieved through human progress alone:

A spiritual awakening.

The Church has an important role—not simply to exist within society, but to pray, serve, proclaim the Gospel, disciple the next generation, and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ.

Pray for Revival in Singapore

Our first prayer should be for a fresh work of the Holy Spirit among the people of Singapore.

Pray that churches will experience renewed hunger for God’s presence.

Pray for deeper prayer.

Pray for holiness.

Pray for biblical faith.

Pray for spiritual gifts to be used for God’s glory.

Pray for believers to become passionate witnesses for Christ.

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” — Psalm 85:6

Revival begins when God’s people seek Him wholeheartedly.

Pray for the Churches

Singapore has a diverse Christian community representing different denominations, traditions, and expressions of faith.

Pray for unity among churches.

Pray that churches will not compete with one another, but work together for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

Pray for pastors and Christian leaders to receive wisdom, strength, and fresh vision.

Pray that churches will become:

Houses of prayer.

Centres of discipleship.

Places of healing and restoration.

Training grounds for young leaders.

Missionary centres reaching Asia and the nations.

Pray for Singapore’s Young People

The next generation is one of the most important areas for prayer.

Young people are growing up in a highly connected, fast-moving, technologically advanced society.

They face pressure from education, career expectations, relationships, identity, social media, and the pursuit of success.

Pray that young people will encounter Jesus personally.

Pray that they will discover their identity in Christ.

Pray for Christian students in schools, colleges, and universities.

Pray for youth ministries to become places of genuine discipleship rather than merely social gatherings.

Pray that God will raise:

Young intercessors.

Young evangelists.

Young worshippers.

Young missionaries.

Young leaders.

A revived generation can become a missionary generation.

Pray for Families

Strong families are essential to a healthy society.

Pray for Christian marriages.

Pray for parents to have wisdom.

Pray for children to grow in faith.

Pray for families experiencing conflict, loneliness, or financial pressure.

Pray that Christian homes will become places where children learn to pray, read Scripture, worship, and follow Jesus.

Let every Christian home become a small prayer altar.

Pray for the Workplace

Singapore is an international business and financial centre.

Millions of decisions are made in workplaces that influence businesses, economies, and nations.

Pray for Christian professionals to live with integrity.

Pray for believers in business, technology, education, healthcare, finance, government, and other professions.

May Christians demonstrate:

Excellence without compromise.

Success without pride.

Leadership with integrity.

Influence with humility.

Wealth with generosity.

Pray that workplaces will become places where the character of Christ is visible.

Pray for the Gospel

Singapore’s international connections give the Church opportunities to reach people from many nations.

People from different countries live, work, study, and travel through Singapore.

This creates a unique opportunity for Gospel mission.

Pray that churches will recognize Singapore not only as a destination but as a strategic mission gateway to Asia.

Pray for opportunities to share Christ with people from:

  • Southeast Asia
  • South Asia
  • East Asia
  • the Middle East
  • Africa
  • Europe
  • and many other regions.

One nation can become a doorway for the Gospel to reach many nations.

Pray for Singapore’s Leadership

Scripture instructs believers to pray for those in authority.

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions… be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority.” — 1 Timothy 2:1–2

Pray for Singapore’s national leaders and public servants.

Pray for wisdom in decisions affecting the nation.

Pray for integrity, justice, peace, and compassion.

Pray that leaders will have wisdom to address the social and economic challenges facing the country.

Pray for the Vulnerable

Economic progress does not eliminate human suffering.

Pray for the elderly.

Pray for migrant workers.

Pray for struggling families.

Pray for people experiencing loneliness.

Pray for those facing financial difficulties.

Pray for people dealing with addiction, broken relationships, grief, and hopelessness.

May the Church become the hands and feet of Jesus.

Where there is suffering, may the Church bring compassion.

Where there is loneliness, may the Church bring fellowship.

Where there is darkness, may the Church carry the light of Christ.

Pray for Missionaries and Gospel Workers

Pray for pastors, evangelists, missionaries, counsellors, worship leaders, youth workers, children’s ministry workers, and Christian organizations serving in Singapore.

Many serve quietly without recognition.

Pray for strength.

Pray for protection.

Pray for spiritual renewal.

Pray for financial provision.

Pray for wisdom.

Pray for open doors.

Pray for fruitfulness.

And pray that God will raise many more labourers.

Jesus said:

“The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” — Matthew 9:37–38

Pray for Spiritual Unity

Singapore is a nation of many cultures, languages, and ethnic communities.

The Church can demonstrate the reconciling power of the Gospel by walking together in love.

Pray for unity across churches and Christian communities.

Pray that differences will not become greater than the mission.

Pray that believers will be known by their love.

Jesus prayed:

“That they all may be one…” — John 17:21

Unity in the Church can become a powerful testimony to the world.

Pray for a Missionary Singapore

Singapore has the resources, international connections, educational opportunities, and global relationships to play an important role in Gospel mission.

Pray for Singapore to become increasingly:

A sending nation.

A praying nation.

A disciple-making nation.

A Gospel-supporting nation.

A blessing to Asia and the nations.

May Singapore not simply receive spiritual blessing.

May Singapore become a channel of blessing.

A Call to the Church

The question is not simply:

“Will revival come to Singapore?”

The question is:

“Will the Church pray for revival in Singapore?”

Before Pentecost, the disciples prayed.

Before great movements of God, believers have often gathered to seek Him.

Prayer prepares hearts.

Prayer strengthens the Church.

Prayer opens doors.

Prayer produces spiritual burden.

Prayer sends labourers.

Prayer changes us.

Revival begins with a praying Church.

Let Us Pray for Singapore

Father,

We lift Singapore before You.

Thank You for this nation and for every person who lives, works, studies, and serves here.

We pray for a fresh spiritual awakening.

Revive Your Church.

Strengthen pastors and Christian leaders.

Unite churches around Jesus Christ.

Raise a generation of young people who love Your Word and seek Your presence.

Touch families.

Restore marriages.

Strengthen parents.

Protect children.

Reach students.

Empower Christian professionals to be witnesses in their workplaces.

Give courage to evangelists and missionaries.

Open doors for the Gospel.

Bring hope to the lonely, broken, poor, and vulnerable.

Give wisdom to national leaders.

Let righteousness, justice, peace, and compassion increase.

And Lord, make Singapore a blessing to Asia and to the nations.

Let churches become houses of prayer.

Let homes become altars of worship.

Let young people become carriers of revival.

Let the Gospel reach every community.

Let the name of Jesus be lifted high.

Lord, revive Singapore.

Revive the Church.

Revive the families.

Revive the young people.

Revive the cities.

And let Your Kingdom come in Singapore.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
