\u201cAnd they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.\u201d \u2014 Acts 2:4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church stands as one of the greatest examples of spiritual revival in human history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a remarkably short period of time, a small group of ordinary disciples became a Spirit-empowered movement that shook Jerusalem, reached Judea and Samaria, crossed cultural and geographical boundaries, and eventually carried the Gospel throughout the Roman world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church did not begin with impressive buildings, financial resources, political influence, sophisticated technology, or large organizational structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It began with prayer, obedience, the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, courageous witness, sacrificial love, and an uncompromising commitment to Jesus Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The book of Acts records how this revival began and how it spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The story is not simply about what happened two thousand years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It reveals principles that remain relevant whenever God’s people seek genuine spiritual awakening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave His disciples a promise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYe shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me\u2026\u201d \u2014 Acts 1:8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus did not tell them to begin immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He told them to wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They had a mission, but they needed power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They had the message, but they needed empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They had witnessed the resurrection, but they needed the Holy Spirit to become effective witnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This teaches us an important principle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The disciples could not accomplish the Great Commission through human ability alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They needed the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And so they waited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 1:14 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThese all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Before there was public preaching, there was private prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before thousands were saved, believers gathered together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before miracles filled the streets, prayer filled the upper room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is one of the clearest lessons from the Early Church:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The disciples did not know exactly how God would fulfill His promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But they knew what Jesus had commanded them to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So they prayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They waited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They remained together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They sought God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church demonstrates that revival does not begin with human excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It begins when God’s people become desperate for God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then came the day of Pentecost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 2:1\u20134 describes a supernatural event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Holy Spirit filled the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tongues like fire appeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This was the birth of the public expression of the New Testament Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Something changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The disciples who had previously been fearful became bold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter, who had denied Jesus, now stood publicly and proclaimed Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The disciples were no longer hiding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They were witnessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That is one of the marks of revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When people encounter God, fear begins to give way to faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter stood before the crowd and preached Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He proclaimed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter did not preach a message designed merely to entertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He preached Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Holy Spirit brought conviction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 2:37 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They asked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMen and brethren, what shall we do?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter answered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRepent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ\u2026\u201d \u2014 Acts 2:38<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The result was extraordinary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 2:41<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One Spirit-filled preaching moment became a spiritual turning point for thousands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 2:42 gives us one of the clearest pictures of the Early Church:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church was built around four powerful foundations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n They continued in apostolic teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They lived in spiritual community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They remembered Christ and shared life together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They continually sought God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These were not occasional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They were a lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pentecost was not the end of revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church continued in the things that created spiritual strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prayer was central to the Early Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Peter and John were threatened, the believers did not respond by running away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They prayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 4:31 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Notice what happened after prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They were filled with boldness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd they spake the word of God with boldness.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church did not merely pray for protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They prayed for courage to continue proclaiming Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is significant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church experienced remarkable unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 2:44 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd all that believed were together, and had all things common.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They cared for one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They shared their possessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They helped those in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They did not live as disconnected individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They understood that they were part of one spiritual family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unity became a powerful testimony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It breaks down barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It teaches believers to see one another not as competitors but as members of one body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A divided Church struggles to demonstrate the fullness of Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church shows us the power of believers walking together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church experienced supernatural manifestations of God’s power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 2:43 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter and John later encountered a man who had been unable to walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the name of Jesus, he was healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter declared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIn the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.\u201d \u2014 Acts 3:6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The miracle created an opportunity for the Gospel to be proclaimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is an important biblical pattern:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The miracle was not the ultimate message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The supernatural opened doors for the proclamation of the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church did not remain inside a building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 5:42 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Notice the two locations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The temple.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Every house.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church gathered publicly and ministered personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Gospel moved into homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It reached individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It entered communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It became part of everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A revived Church carries Christ into:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church could not remain silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter and John told the authorities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFor we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.\u201d \u2014 Acts 4:20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They had encountered Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They had experienced His resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They had received the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They had witnessed His power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Therefore, they had to speak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is one of the characteristics of genuine revival:<\/p>\n\n\n\n When people experience the transforming grace of Christ, they naturally want others to know Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church faced intense opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The apostles were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yet the Gospel continued to spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 5:41\u201342 says the apostles rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer for Christ, and they continued preaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This reveals something powerful:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Opposition did not destroy the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead, it often pushed believers into greater dependence upon God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church learned that suffering could not silence the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stephen was one of the seven servants chosen to help the growing Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 6:8 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Stephen was not one of the original twelve apostles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He was a servant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yet God used him powerfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When opposition arose, Stephen boldly proclaimed the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eventually, he was killed for his faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But even in his final moments, he reflected the character of Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His story teaches us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n God can use ordinary servants when they are filled with faith and the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After Stephen’s death, persecution increased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Believers were scattered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But something unexpected happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The scattered believers preached the Gospel wherever they went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 8:4 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTherefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n What looked like a setback became an opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The enemy tried to scatter the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God used the scattering to spread the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church moved beyond Jerusalem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Revival began crossing geographical boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Philip went to Samaria and preached Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 8:6 says the people listened to him because they saw the miracles he performed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The sick were healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People were delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There was great joy in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 8:8 declares:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd there was great joy in that city.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n What a powerful description of revival!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Gospel did not merely create a religious gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It transformed the atmosphere of an entire community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This shows us that revival can move from individuals to cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the most dramatic moments in the Early Church was the conversion of Saul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Saul had persecuted Christians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He had opposed the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yet Jesus encountered him on the road to Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSaul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?\u201d \u2014 Acts 9:4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The persecutor became a preacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The enemy of the Church became an apostle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The man who once tried to destroy Christianity became one of its greatest missionaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His transformation demonstrates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Revival must never cause us to give up on difficult people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The person we consider an enemy may become tomorrow’s Gospel messenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church initially grew primarily among Jewish believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But God’s plan was much larger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Gospel began crossing cultural and ethnic boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter received a divine revelation and was sent to the house of Cornelius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Holy Spirit fell upon Gentiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter declared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOf a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.\u201d \u2014 Acts 10:34<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n God was demonstrating that the Gospel was for all people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church had to learn that God’s kingdom was bigger than their previous understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church at Antioch became a major centre of Christian mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 13 describes a church that was:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Holy Spirit said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSeparate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.\u201d \u2014 Acts 13:2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church responded by praying, fasting, laying hands on them, and sending them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is a model of a missionary revival Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A church that is truly revived does not simply gather people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It sends people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paul and his companions travelled across regions proclaiming Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They preached in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n They established churches and strengthened believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Gospel continued moving from city to city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church became a multiplying movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prayer became preaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Preaching became discipleship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Discipleship became church planting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Church planting became multiplication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The book of Acts records tremendous numerical growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thousands were saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Churches were established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Word spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But the Early Church did not measure success only by numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Believers were being transformed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 2:47 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n God was adding people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But the Church was also growing spiritually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 16:5 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Healthy revival produces both:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church cared deeply for the poor and needy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 4:34 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNeither was there any among them that lacked.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Believers shared with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This shows that revival affects how people handle possessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When hearts are transformed, selfishness begins to decrease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Generosity increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Compassion increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People begin asking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHow can I help?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n rather than:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat can I get?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church did not stop after people believed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They taught them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They baptized them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They gathered them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They discipled them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They established churches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They appointed leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They strengthened believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paul and Barnabas returned to churches they had established to encourage and strengthen them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This reveals a critical principle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n A revival that produces many decisions but few disciples will not sustain its impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church invested in spiritual maturity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the most striking features of Acts is how often the Holy Spirit directed the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Spirit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 16:6\u20137 describes Paul and his companions being redirected by the Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church did not simply ask:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat is our strategy?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They also asked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat is the Holy Spirit saying?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Human planning has value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But spiritual awakening requires divine direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Worship was woven into the life of the Early Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Believers praised God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They prayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They broke bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They gathered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They glorified Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Their worship was not merely a Sunday activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was a lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They recognized Jesus as Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And their lives reflected that confession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church did not gather around personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They gathered around Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church teaches us that revival does not always mean comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The apostles experienced suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stephen was martyred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n James was killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Peter was imprisoned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paul suffered repeatedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yet the Gospel continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Church understood that following Christ involved sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They were willing to pay a price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A shallow spiritual experience disappears when difficulties arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But genuine conviction produces endurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One phrase appears repeatedly throughout Acts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe word of God increased.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 6:7 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 12:24 says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBut the word of God grew and multiplied.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Acts 19:20 declares:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSo mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the ultimate picture of revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not simply that crowds increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not simply that meetings become larger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n When God’s Word takes root in people, lives change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When God’s Word spreads through communities, society can change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When God’s Word reaches nations, history can change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Looking at the book of Acts, we can identify several characteristics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They prayed continually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They depended on the Spirit’s power and guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They preached and taught Scripture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People responded to the Gospel by turning to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They continually proclaimed Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n New believers were established in the faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Believers lived together in fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They cared for the needy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They took sin seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God confirmed the Gospel through supernatural works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They preached despite opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They were willing to suffer for Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They sent workers beyond their own communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Churches were established and multiplied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus remained at the centre of everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church challenges the modern Church with several questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These questions are important because revival is not merely something we study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Revival is something we seek.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It is important to remember that the Early Church also experienced problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yet the Church continued to grow because it continually returned to Christ, Scripture, prayer, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This gives hope to the Church today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Revival does not require perfect people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God can work through imperfect people who are willing to obey Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus had told His disciples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYe shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.\u201d \u2014 Acts 1:8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This became the geographical pattern of the Early Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Gospel began locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It spread throughout the surrounding region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It crossed historical and cultural barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It became a global mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the DNA of biblical revival:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Local revival becomes regional mission.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Regional mission becomes national impact.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n National impact becomes global Gospel expansion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church began with a small group of believers gathered in prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But that group became a movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The movement crossed borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It survived persecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It established churches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It raised leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It sent missionaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It preached Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And the Gospel continued to spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The story of Acts reminds us that God can begin something enormous with a small group of surrendered people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The question is not whether God can send revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The question is whether His people are willing to prepare themselves for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We need believers today who will return to the principles of the Early Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A generation that will pray like the 120.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A generation that will preach like Peter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A generation that will serve like Stephen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A generation that will evangelize like Philip.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A generation that will go like stands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And the same call is still ringing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGo ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.\u201d \u2014 Mark 16:15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Early Church did not have everything the modern Church possesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But they had something essential:<\/p>\n\n\n\n They were filled with the Holy Spirit and completely committed to Jesus Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n They prayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They preached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They sacrificed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They evangelized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They discipled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
